Dorothy House Hospice Care is holding a new series of outdoor musical events this Summer called ‘Music In The Garden.’ Each of the fundraising events offers a different musical genre to suit a range of audiences and will be held in beautiful gardens provided by supporters of the Hospice.

And great news for families, entry is free for children under 12!

The events are planned in Warminster, Wingfield, Chippenham, Farleigh Hungerford and Bath, and will help raise vital funds for Dorothy House to care for patients with a life-limiting condition, their families and carers.

Following the success of their Blues evening in mid-June, the next Dorothy House music event is on 3-6pm on Sunday 2nd July and features live music from The Park Lane Big Band. Fabulous music from the Miller and Ellington era from the Rat Pack to contemporary tunes will be performed in the stunning gardens of Rowley Grange in Farleigh Hungerford BA2 7RS. Tickets cost £15 and includes a cream tea available 3pm-6pm.

The third music event is on 2-6pm on Sunday 9th July and features a string quartet and a chorus of voices in the gardens at Duck Pond Barn in Wingfield BA14 9LW. The music comes from The Lansdown Ensemble between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, followed by tea and cake. The ever-popular CanZona choir will round off this musical afternoon between 4.15pm and 5.15pm, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful garden. Tickets cost £15 and include tea/coffee and homemade cake.

Then on 23 July from 3-6pm, you can enjoy this truly exquisite gardens of The Garden House at Dyrham while listening to top class jazz by The Jazz House Trio and eating strawberries and cream. Why not bring a picnic and make a real afternoon of it?
