News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Josh Moir, a 13 year old year 8 pupil at King Edward’s School, Bath, has designed and manufactured a building block set of the Roman Baths that is now being stocked at the Roman Baths and Bath Tourism shops.

Josh explained that he came up with the idea while visiting the Baths on a school trip and noticing that there wasn’t a building block kit of the historic venue available. “I decided to design and manufacture my own so went through a two-year process of the design, which included working with the Roman Baths, before finding a manufacturer in China to complete the process,” he explained. “We also worked with Ice House Design, a Bath design company, who carried out the finishing touches on my design to make it look professional.”

The Micro Block kits are now on sale for £14.99 both at the Roman Baths and through his website www.microdesigns.co. Josh next plans to produce models of Stonehenge and St Paul’s Cathedral.
