The Museum of East Asian Art in Bath is offering schools and community groups in the area the chance to borrow a free loan box from the museum in order to help them to learn more about the previously unexplored history and story of Chinese immigrants in Bath.

The resource, which is available from September 2017, consists of a number of everyday items used by immigrants that could be used as part of role play exercises and an accompanying booklet based upon the developing Eastern Voices In The West Country project, which looks into the previously unexplored history and story of Chinese immigrants in Bath. The oral history project includes interviews with 11 Chinese immigrants who came to Bath from different parts of Asia, and who have shared their emotional journeys from being strangers to becoming members of the community.
