Places are now available for the VOX Pop & Soul Choir, a vocal group for 8-15 year olds who enjoy singing and performing funky, uplifting and soulful music. Established in 2005 as BYGC by choral director Tim King, VOX perform a diverse range of contemporary music from pop, through to soul, RnB, rock and gospel – whilst learning and developing confidence, harmony, performance skills, lead vocals and choreography.

The choir, who were recently featured on BBC1, perform in several concerts and festivals each year. In the past VOX have sung at venues such as Longleat, the egg theatre, University of Bath, Chapel Arts Centre and St George’s Bristol.

In 2014, VOX recorded at the world famous Real World Studios and can be heard on the album by Vocal Works Gospel Choir, ‘A Soulful Christmas’. The group also recorded the backing vocals for the BBC Children In Need album, performing live and recording with Lee Mead and Hayley Westenra.

Previous VOX members have gone on to become professional singers, actors and performers in groups including Vocal Works Gospel Choir.

Term time rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings. For more details please contact Tim via email hidden; JavaScript is required or on 07787 527880.
