News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The Royal High School in Bath is launching a series of new outreach events to allow local girls to try something new. The sessions will cover a range of skills, including animation, robotics and programming, ancient Greece, and creative dance.

The first of the outreach sessions is called ‘Harry Potter With A Classical Twist’ and will explore Classics and Ancient Greek through the world of Harry Potter! Aimed at Year 5 girls, the session will explore language, magical mythology and Ancient Greek with the school’s teachers. This workshop takes place on Saturday 24 February from 10am to 12.30pm.

Creative Dance For Girls takes place on 24 February from 10am to 12.30pm, and then again on 30 June. This will give Year 5 girls the opportunity explore the world of David Walliams with dance!

The third workshop, Digital Daughters, will offer girls from Years 2 and 3 the chance to discover the worlds of animation, robotics and programming in the school’s own workshops.

There is no cost to attend any of the workshops, although places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please contact email hidden; JavaScript is required for more information.
