++News just in – the Bath City FC family day on 3 March has been cancelled. A spokesperson for the club explained, “Unfortunately Bath City FC have had to postpone their special Family Day match tomorrow due to the snow lying on the pitch and around the ground. Family Day will now take place instead on Saturday 14th April v Hungerford Town. The special pricing, free gifts and most additional entertainment will still remain the same – please out the date in your diary.++

Bath City FC is holding its second annual Family Day this coming Saturday, 3 March, at its home game against Eastbourne Borough. These family days are a great way to introduce youngsters to local family is a friendly atmosphere, with plenty of additional fun to keep everyone happy.

As well as the match itself, which kicks off at 3pm, visitors can enjoy an inflatable beat-the-goalie competition, a Bath City Farm animal visit, face painting, a chance to meet the players, pre-match penalty shoot-out v the mascots, half-time youth football and a free footie clapper and mini football for every child – plus the match itself!

The ticket price for a family of four is just £20.

Last year this popular event attracted over 1,000 fans too the ground at Twerton Park, and the club hopes that this year’s event will be even bigger.

“We may be biased, but we reckon a Bath City match is the friendliest, best value-for-money day out in Bath,” explained club General Manager, Carole Banwell. “Parents and kids can sit or stand wherever they like, soak up the atmosphere and pop over to the refreshment stalls at any time. And our Family Day is even better. Kids get up close to real-life, proper football and enjoy the atmosphere of a real match right on their doorstep.
