The Bath Academy of Media Make-up is holding a series of make-up workshops designed specially for children under the age of 18 to learn the skills of a make-up artist.
These under 18 one day makeup courses are available to any young aspiring makeup artists. They provide the future generation of makeup artists, or anyone just interested in makeup, a glimpse of how professional artists work behind the scenes. These short but insightful days, cover several basic skills and, hopefully, leave you wanting to pursue a career in the makeup industry.
The workshops will take place over the May half term, offering participants the chance to learn about Theatrical Makeup, Fashion and Editorial Makeup and Beauty Makeup and Hair Styling Makeup. The courses cost £60 each, or £150 if all three are booked together.
Theatrical Makeup taster day Makeup Workshop

Ever wondered how large West End shows are put together? How do dancers keep hold of their wigs whilst leaping across the stage and what is it about the makeup for theatre that enables us to be able to see it from so far away and under those bright lights?
This hands-on interactive workshop will entice you into the heart of theatre land, with tutors demonstrating the art of theatrical makeup and wig application used on some of the biggest shows in the West End today.
Fashion and Editorial Makeup Workshop

Get creative in this fun, colourful and inspiring makeup workshop designed to capture your imagination. Design your very own Avant Garde masterpiece drawing inspiration from the fashion industry’s wildest designers and fuel your desire to break out the glitter and neon colours!
Beauty Makeup and Hair Styling Makeup Workshop

Cost: £60
Time 10.30 – 15.30 with 1 hr for lunch
If you love beautiful hair and makeup and have a longing to create red carpet looks (as seen on some of your favourite celebrities) this workshop will teach you the art of makeup perfection, From eye line flicks to red lips, smokey eyes and Kimmy K’s notorious high light and contour techniques. Paired with some funky plaiting and waving styles this day will give you all the tools to use on your friends and family ‘s parties and proms!
