News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Places are now available for the Sing and Sign classes summer term 2019.

The Sing and Sign Bath summer term runs from 29 April 2019, with classes being held in venues in central Bath, Weston, Larkhall and Bradford-on-Avon.

Sing and Sign offers a fun way to learn baby signing. Babies use all kinds of signs and gestures as a natural part of learning to talk. The classes help to encourage a baby with extra signs like milk, more, change nappy or tired, helpng them to communicate with their parents and carers.

“We run three age-appropriate classes: Babes – 2-5months; Stage 1 – 6-13 months; Stage 2 – 14-24months,” explained Raych Carberry from Sing and Sign Bath. “New families are always welcome to join us for our music-filled, fun and intimate classes (maximum number limits apply). Learn about early communication through simple action songs, with pictures, puppets, props and instruments all used to enhance your little one’s experience.”

Raych is running a free taster session on Wednesday 3 April at Bath Central Library in the usual Baby Bounce and Rhyme slot, offering a great chance to go along to get a feel for how the programme works.
