News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Progressive Sports Bath & North Somerset is delivering Multi Sport Clubs in Farmborough School throughout the summer holidays. The clubs will provide children aged 4-13 with the opportunity to try out different sports and games, as well as make new friends in a safe, secure and engaging environment.

“Our qualified coaching team will deliver and supervise sports such as archery, football, cricket, rounders, dodgeball, tag rugby, handball, tennis, badminton, volleyball, foot-golf and ultimate frisbee, as well as creative team building games and activities like den building, treasure hunts and group hide and seek!” explained James McTiernan from Progressive Sports. “The clubs are based at Farmborough Primary School and we have access to a large and secure outdoor playing area. We also have access to the school hall so children will be able to stay active and engaged whatever the weather.

“At Progressive Sports we believe that every child should have the opportunity to be active and we exist to inspire and encourage this. We are currently in partnership with a number of schools across the Bath & North East Somerset region, including Farmborough Primary, who have been kind enough to let us use their facilities over the summer to offer children in the local area the chance to learn and experience new sports and activities.

“We also believe that our Multi Sports Clubs provide parents in the area with an affordable, safe and assured childcare option.”

The Progressive Sports Multi Sport Clubs run from 9am until 3.30pm every week day, and children should bring a packed lunch, refreshments and clothing appropriate for sports. The cost per child per day is £15 and is discounted to £60 for a whole week. There is also a £12 per child/per day discount for siblings, as long as both/all siblings attend, with a further discount of £50 per week if both/all siblings are booked in for the full five days.
