A touring, collaboration exhibition between Wellcome Collection and the Museum of London displaying twelve human skeletons from Bristol and London, each with a unique story to tell. The individuals on display provide a unique and personal insight into the human history of both cities.
Excavations in Bristol have uncovered numerous burial sites over the years, including Medieval monasteries, a hospital burial ground and a convent. The six Bristol skeletons were found in Clifton, Filton, Mangotsfield, Tormarton and the city centre.
Alongside the exhibition, children can explore science behind the scenes in ‘The Bone Lab’. Discover how to distinguish between skeletons, identify diseases and injuries and hear from experts of the excavation site, lab and museum.
Closed Mondays except Bank Holidays and Mondays during Bristol school holidays.
