Wiltshire Music Centre

Inspired by life in Southern Africa, beginning as a self- taught acapella singing and traditional dance group in 1982, specialising in imbube music, gumboot dance and Zulu dance. Since then, they have toured extensively, uplifting audiences worldwide and teaching them about the traditions of their homeland.

Celebrating two decades of making and sharing music, with a day of workshops, drumming, face-painting, activities and a celebratory concert. Revisiting some of the favourite workshops and incredible songs that emerged from them, as well as some new material and a new piece created with the audience.

Celebrating 20 years under the baton of conductor Tim Redmond,  The West of England Youth Orchestra, (WEYO), perform Stravinsky’s epic and revolutionary ballet score The Rite of Spring and Elgar’s rhapsodic Cello Concerto. We will welcome back alumni players, reuniting for this special and rare opportunity to perform these iconic works in a spectacular concert which is not to be missed!
