News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The Camomile Cafe in Corsham is hosting a Baby Massage-a-thon to raise money for Bath Neonatel Unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, to help it buy more nests for premature babies.

Frances Tristram from the Camomile Cafe explained, “Babies in incubators are still very tiny and need barriers to push against to make them feel safe and secure in the big wide world. The nests provide the best way for them to still be monitored whilst also ensuring they feel safe and secure. Each nest costs £28 to buy.

Families with babies from four weeks to six months are invited to visit the cafe on 4 May for a half hour taster of its baby massage course. The event will take place all day starting from 9am and will be offering half hour long, back-to-back sessions for £5 per baby.

“You will need to book and pay for your session in advance either by poping in the cafe or over the phone,” added Frances. “Just bring your baby and a towel we will provide you with the oil!”
