Nicki Smith, mum to two daughters and owner of The Creation Station Bath, has gained the top award for the prestigious ‘Create Club Champion 2017′, in recognition of her successful afterschool art clubs in primary schools throughout the Bath area.
The national Creation Station franchise awards were announced at the 15th annual ‘Creation Station Inspiring Imaginations conference’ during the gala evening at Cadburys house, Bristol on 21 April.
A smiling Nicki said, “I am so delighted to have won the award as we have been working with local primary schools for over two years now. Whilst we are mostly known for our pre-school and baby classes, we are also very proud of our afterschool programme which gives primary school age children the opportunity to enjoy some dedicated creative time, which can sometimes be difficult for teachers to fit into the school day. The Create Club sessions are based on the National Curriculum targets for creative arts, so they really do benefit the children academically, whilst encouraging them to have some real good, arty fun!”
