Mum of two Briony reviews a lovely bedtime storybook for younger children
Good Night, Sleep Tight is a new title from local publishers Peahen Publishing designed to offer a calming, cuddle up and share bedtime story experience, and it’s certainly proving popular with our two-year old daughter.
My husband and I have both read this book to our little girl over the last few weeks, it reads really well, with the calming flow of the words having quite a calming effect on our daughter. This is complemented with the really well drawn pictures that help tell the tale without being too colourful or busy – just the thing for bedtime.
Perhaps the biggest accolade though is that our daughter clearly enjoys it too as she requests the same book most nights.
Peahen Publishing is a new, independent self-publishing company that will take a local author’s story and help them to design, publish and distribute it. During this process, they will guide an author through the publishing processes, from initial manuscript consultation to illustration, from paper and font selection to print.
