First Steps (Bath) has announced that it has two job vacancies as part of its Family Information Service.
They are looking for a Family Link Worker to be part of the family team and enable local families to participate in appropriate Children’s Centre, community and statutory services. As a member of the Family Services team, the successful applicant will play a full part in the planning, organising and delivering of activities and creating learning experiences designed to improve outcomes for pre-school children. They will work in partnership with parents, carers and partner organisations.
Qualifications required are NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (desirable) or 2 years’ experience of working with families and working towards an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Salary is £15,990 – £16,946 (£8.20 – £8.69 per hour).
They are also seeking a qualified practitioner to work in our Family Services Team. The team is based at the Annexe of First Steps Twerton Children’s Centre, and delivers services across the Moorlands and Twerton areas of Bath. The successful applicant will contribute to the development and running of community based groups providing: safe and stimulating play opportunities; a social network for parents and children; support for the relationship between child and parent/carer to improve outcomes. They will undertake outreach work, engaging with parents to help them access a range of services. They will also work in partnership with parents, carers and partner organisations.
Qualifications are required in Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling or related field.
Salary is £19,691 – £21,458.
