News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

King Edward’s School in Bath has reported ‘another superb set of A Level results to the pupils of King Edward’s School’ for 2017, with 26% of all entries at A*, 63% at A* or A and 86% at A*-B.

46 pupils – over 40% of the cohort – achieved A* or A grades in all their exams, with 8 pupils gaining 4 or more A*s.

Several departments returned a 100% A*-B success, including Art, Photography and Drama, as well as all Modern and Classical Languages. Over three quarters of the 84 Maths and Further Maths entries were A* or A.

Headmaster, Martin Boden, commented, “The pupils and staff are to be congratulated on these wonderful results and for having met the challenges of the new linear A-levels so successfully; all their hard work and determined effort has certainly paid off, and I am delighted that so many of this year’s KES leavers have achieved the grades that they need to study at many of the UK’s top universities. We wish them all the very best for the future.”
