Wiltshire Council is going to great lengths to keep children active and entertained this half term with a free swimming offer.

Youngsters aged up to 16 can use the pool for free during specific sessions at Wiltshire Council and Places for People Leisure-managed sports centres.

They will need to claim a free membership card in advance by visiting www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure-free-swimming or by collecting a form from participating swimming pools.

The offer runs from Tuesday 29 May to Friday 1 June.

Wiltshire Council is also offering intensive swimming lessons to build youngsters’ confidence in the water.

Courses are available at Calne Leisure Centre, Marlborough Leisure Centre, Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre and Durrington Swimming Pool. Lessons are £22.20 for leisure centre members (£16.80 for concession members). More information is available at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure-swim-school

The ever-popular Camp Activate sessions are running for five to 14-year-olds at Amesbury Sports Centre, Marlborough Leisure Centre, Calne Leisure Centre, Devizes Leisure Centre and Springfield Community Campus in Corsham. Activities include ultimate frisbee, arts and theatre, climbing, dancing, martial arts, arts and crafts and go karting. Camp Activate is £25 a day for a leisure card holder and £31 for a non-member.
