News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The new term at the egg theatre in Bath kicks off with the return of egg favourite and CBeebies star Patrick Lynch with Lyngo Theatre’s new production of Tom Thumb, running from 7-10 September.

One night, tiny Tom overhears Mum and Dad talking – there’s nothing left to eat so they are going to leave him and his six brothers in the forest! Outwitting his parents, and an ogre, Tom shows everybody that even though he is small he is still mighty, as he protects his brothers, finds the treasure and makes sure they will never be hungry again.

Patrick has adapted the classic fairytale, which is performed entirely on and under a kitchen table, in Lyngo’s trademark playful style with feathery spinning birds, a flying house and a portable forest!

Patrick Lynch is one of CBeebies longest serving presenters, having appeared on the channel since 2006, presenting programmes including Razzle Dazzle and Let’s Celebrate. He has become a well-loved visitor to the egg with shows including Watch The Birdy, The Odyssey and Egg and Spoon.

Tickets are on sale from the egg reception on 01225 823409, the Theatre Royal Box Office on 01225 448844 and online at www.theatreroyal.org.uk
