Congratulations to KES pupils who are today deservedly celebrating some wonderful A Level results. Rising to the challenge of the new linear exams, the class of 2018 impressed with a return of 60% A*/A grades, including a record high of 27.5% at A*, around three and a half times the national average. Almost 40% of pupils achieved only A* or A grades, with 1 in 7 gaining 3 or more A*s.

Several departments, including Art, Classics, History and Politics and RS and Philosophy, enjoyed a 100% A*-B success rate, whilst English Literature, Maths/Further Maths, Psychology and Spanish were all very close to the 90% mark.

Commenting on this year’s success, Headmaster, Mr Martin Boden, said, “I am absolutely delighted to see so many happy pupils who have been rewarded for their fantastic efforts with a great set of A level grades which will be the springboard to the next phase in their lives; I am sure that they will be looking forward to this with a great sense of excitement and ambition. I congratulate them all and wish them the very best for the future.”
