News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The Roman Bath is launching a series of regular sessions for home educated children, with one session taking place each term. The first one will take place on Friday 30 November between 10am to 12pm. Visitors are invited to drop-in, with no advance booking required.

Children will be able to take part in a variety of Roman-themed activities including crafts, a museum trail and the chance to handle original Roman objects. The sessions are suitable for children from 4 years and their parents.

Lindsey Braidley, the Roman Bath’s Learning and Participation Manager, explained, “Our mission is learning, inspiration and enjoyment for everyone, and we have introduced these new sessions to meet the needs of a growing audience. There are 38,000 home educated children in the UK.”

The normal admission price for the Roman Baths applies. Free for local Discovery Card holders.
