Christmas came a little early for children at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust when a surprise guest dropped in to meet them.
There were gifts for all from Father Christmas for the children invited to the Therapy Boost annual Christmas party.
It was organised by the Trust’s Children’s Therapies Service for children and families who have attended Therapy Boost sessions through the year. Therapy Boost is a programme of integrated therapy sessions for pre-school children with complex needs.
Charlotte Sivier, Therapy Support Worker, said, “It was a really happy event and lovely seeing each of the children meet Father Christmas. We hold the party every year and it’s an ideal opportunity for our families to meet others, and relax in a familiar and welcoming environment.
“We would like to say a huge Thank You to Sainsbury’s, Chippenham, for very kindly donating a range of children’s books for our special guest to give out as presents, and to Waitrose, Bath, who very generously donated £100 to purchase a variety of tasty festive treats for everyone.”
The Children’s Therapies Service comprises Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Therapy Support Workers. It is based in the Children’s Centre at the RUH.
