News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The Roman Baths will stay open until 8pm (last admission 7pm) every day over the Easter weekend, with live music, entertainment and a prosecco bar beside the Great Bath.

Visitors will be able to see the historic site illuminated by flaming torches. There will be live music from Elysium Brass on Monday and Friday and Bath Spa Quartet on Saturday and Sunday.

The Natural Theatre Company’s costumed characters will give impromptu performances, and a pop-up bar will serve prosecco and soft drinks. The museum will also remain open for visitors to explore after hours.

Easter Evenings build on the success of the annual Torchlit Summer Evenings, which give summertime visitors a chance to avoid the daytime crowds and soak up the magical atmosphere around the torchlit Great Bath.

Stephen Bird, Head of Heritage Services at Bath & North East Somerset Council, said, “The Roman Baths are wonderfully atmospheric in the evenings, and it’s great that visitors over Easter will be able to stay later and enjoy music and entertainment beside the Great Bath. I hope that lots of residents will use their Discovery Cards to come along to Easter Evenings for free.”

Easter Evenings are included in the normal Roman Baths admission price (save 10% by booking online in advance). Free for residents of Bath & North East Somerset with a Discovery Card.

Open until 8pm (last admission 7pm) from Friday 19 April to Monday 22 April 2019.
