It’s just a few weeks until the ‘Brick Express’ steams into the Avon Valley Railway and tickets are already selling fast. Jump onboard the steam train and try your hand at modelling with Lego bricks as you travel the Avon Valley Railway’s line. The event on Sunday 2 June features model-building workshop sactually onboard the heritage attractions steam trains!

Bristol-based Adult Fans of Lego group ‘GertLUG’ will be exhibiting their latest creations, including cityscapes, trains and fantasy scenes. Visitors will also be able to see the brick-built model of Bitton Station and take the controls of the miniature train to see whether they will make a good engine driver too.

Please note, unlike the railway’s normal operating days which offer a Day Rover ticket giving unlimited travel, customers for this event book tickets for individually-timed trains. There’s five to choose from during the day at 10:30, 11:45, 13:00, 14:15 and 15:30.

All-inclusive train and activity tickets mean there’s no additional charges on the day and are on sale now. These cost £10 for adults and £9 for concessions. Under 3s travel free and children travel for just £1 with the ‘Kids for a Quid’ special offer.
