News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

St Saviour’s School in Larkhall, Bath, is introducing free ‘Stay and Play’ sessions for toddlers, young children and their families on the last Tuesday of every month.

The sessions will take place from 2-3pm and will include pond dipping, a giant sand pit, the play bus, football, forest school climbing frames and more. There is no need to book please. All children and families welcome – children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The sessions will take place at the Infant and Junior School on 28 Jan, 25 Feb, 24 March, 28 April, 2 June and 14 July 2020.

Executive Headteacher of the St Saviour’s Schools, Joe Beament, commented, “The St Saviour’s Schools sit in the heart of our community. We are proud of our links with local organisations, charities and businesses.

“We are involved in very active community projects, including sending our children out to play games and sing with nursing home residents. Our PTA also organise events that regularly attract members of our community in to our schools to enjoy our facilities and meet our amazing children.

“After the formation of the formal partnership between the St Saviour’s Infant School and Junior School in September, we ran a number of open events and these were a great success. We want to build on this, using our fantastic grounds, award-winning play facilities and outstanding forest school areas.

“These monthly ‘Stay and Play’ sessions allow younger children to enjoy the facilities at our schools, have fun and probably get muddy! We are delighted that we have the resource and capacity to do this regularly! Everyone is welcome and this includes families who already have links to our schools, as well as those families that don’t.
