News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Dr Anne Bull has left her position at the Executive Headteacher of Weston All Saints Primary School (WASPS) and Abbot Alphege Academy in Bath.

Dr Bull OBE was the headteacher at WASPS for more than 30 years, and was presented with the Award For Headteacher of the Year in a Primary School at the Pearson National Teaching Awards in 2012.

In a letter to the parents and carers of children at WASPS, Chair of Governors, Derek Hall, explained that Dr Bull had left her role for ‘personal reasons’, adding, ‘On behalf of the Schools’ Governing Body, I would like to place on record our thanks to Dr Bull for her energy and commitment to the development and ongoing success of WASPS over a long period of time and to the establishment of Abbot Alphege Academy. I am sure that you will join me in wishing her the very best for the future.’

The letter went on to add that leadership of the school will be taken on with immediate effect by Mrs Sharon Badger and Mrs Sarah Halls as Acting Co-Headteachers.
