Young Somerset presents The Rural Music Network Project – an initiative to deliver audiences the best young musicians aged 14-18 years in the region. A new first step on the staircase for tomorrow’s biggest names, the event takes place on 24 May at Komedia in Bath and will be comprised by the talent that has been taught through the acclaimed Rural Music Academy.

Over the past three years, Rural Music Network’s tours have proven to be hugely popular, with many of the talented artists playing in front of industry legends such as Michael Eavis, taking part in BBC Introducing events, conducting radio interviews and even performing at festivals such as the Bristol Harbour Festival.

The night will comprise of talents by the likes of alternative pop-rock group Elevenfiftysix, punk-rockers Hi-Jacked, Yeovillian songwriter Alfie Jack Galpin, witty and charming soloist Danielle Sharp, indie groove-makers Cape Teal, as well as Cedar Grove, Paper Crowns and Indie May Lister.

Young Somerset aims to shine a spotlight on Bath and Bristol’s youth-music community, providing a relaxed, safe space for young talent to showcase their passion, talent and potential. To see the dawn of the local industry’s next generation, this is the night to go to – let’s bridge the gap between new talent and the industry!
