OK, yes, it wasn’t Friday, our usual pizza day, but we deserved a treat and when we found out that our favourite pizza restaurant – The Italian Pizza Company in Bath – was offering a home delivery service, we had to give it a go.

So one quick order later and we were feasting on a choice of freshly prepared, generously proportioned and extremely tasty pizzas, complete with dough balls and a wonderful salad on the side. Out choice took us from the classics of an Americana and Margherita, to Capricciosa complete with anchovies, peppers, capers and free range egg, and a Parma with rocket and freshly sliced Parma Ham. What a treat!

Plus, we splurged out on the best ice cream in town for pudding, with ample helping of mint choc chip, cherry Ameretto and strawberry, all decorated with sprinkles and mini marshmallows.

Great news from Little Piccolos Music who supply music classes for babies and children under five. They will be running their summer term from 1 June – 17 July online via zoom on Mondays and Fridays. Classes are £5.50 per session, payable in a termly block, with families encouraged to join their geographical class (Monday – Bath area, Fridays – Frome and Bradford on Avon) so that they can continue with the same teacher come September and they’re back in venues!

Each 30 minute session is still jam-packed with singing original songs, learning to read rhythms, moving to music and their talented teachers performing live on their principal instrument.

Thanks to mum of two, Anna, who got in touch to recommend the Art For Kids Hub YouTube channel which is great for getting children into drawing and art. It’s run by a family for families, taking a different subject – from racing cars to dragons and cartoon characters – and slowly leading children through each part of the drawing.

The result is full of enthusiasm and fun, and yes, you grown-ups will be having a go too!
