The Parents Support Network is a new Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Bath, formed partially in response to feedback from teenagers requesting more support for their parents in understanding the mental health challenges they face. On Friday 29 May, the group is holding a group discussion about being a parent during lockdown, offering an opportunity to share your experiences with other parents, and learn some simple tools to support your wellbeing during this challenging time.

The Wild of the Words is offering a free twice weekly live storytelling / free English (story-inspired) session, using Facebook live. It’s for all ages and offers tips, links and suggestions on the website‘s Story Blog for follow-up activities at home.

Kingswood School Prep is holding a Virtual Open Morning on 19 June from 9am. The event will provide prospective pupils and their families with the opportunity to find out more about life at the school.

Visitors will get a virtual tour of the school site and see its state-of-the-art development, which includes a nursery and outstanding facilities for our Prep School pupils. They will also get to hear key members of staff speak, including the Prep School Headmaster, Mr Mark Brearey.

Mrs Potts Chocolate House in York Street, Bath is open again for take-aways, which means a family treat for delicious cakes, cookies, hot chocolates and milk shakes is a must. The Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich and gorgeous brownies are certainly to be recommended, while if it’s too hot for hot chocolate, give the cookies and cream milkshake – with extra cream of course – a go!

Pins and Needles Productions, the theatre company behind the amazing productions of Little Mermaid and The Scarlet Pimpernel at the egg theatre in Bath, has created SELECT A QUEST, a stimulating and entertaining mission for ages 6+.

Expect a vibrant mix of mystery, silliness and fun as families get together to explore the 27 scenes set across six levels, leading to one winner, one curse and a whole lot o’violent deaths. SELECT A QUEST promises to offer audiences an eclectic and innovative theatrical experience in the comfort of your own home. Blue Peter’s Supercar of the Future Competition is giving you the chance to design a unique futuristic car. This week community group Scrubs for the NHS – Bath donated its 1000th pair of scrubs! To celebrate they would like to invite everyone to join in for a Virtual Tea Party this Saturday at 3pm and help them raise £1000 for local charity Mentoring Plus.

Fringe Arts Bath, known as FaB, runs a free 17 day festival of visual arts every year, in late May – early June. Volunteer, non-profit artist-led organisation. This year the event has gone virtual, with a whole series of events to watch here.
