Here’s a great idea for grown-ups, perhaps once the kids are bed. Novel Wines of Bath offer regular virtual wine tasting events offering you the chance to sip along at home with the Novel Wines experts, when you order the wines online.

The next event is the Host Your Own Wine Club on Thursday 9 July, featuring some of Novel Wine’s all-time favourite wines from the ‘big bear of the Pfalz’ winemaker Oliver Zeter. Co-hosted by Soma Jennings and Amelia Singer.

Thanks to mum of three Helen for sending this one in… The Invisible Museum is a series of videos on YouTube aimed at 7 – 11 year olds, and containing a range of science, technology, engineering, arts and maths themed activities. The difference here is that the programmes are hosted by a real life time traveller and the subjects are people from history that you might not have heard about before

The curator has also created an activity pack to go with her videos. Each activity sheet contains her notes, photographs and a S.T.E.A.M. activity for you to carry out.

Another free and fun event from those very lovely people at Pound Arts in Corsham.

I Can Only Draw Worms takes place on 2 July via Zoom, with the workshop running twice, the morning session aimed at 3-5 year olds and the afternoon session will be aimed at 6-12 year olds.

You will need: coloured card in a range of colours or white card and felt tips. Scissors, glue, a pencil and a rubber.
