The Art Cohort in Bath has announced its inaugural Children’s Art Exhibition and is inviting entries from young artists aged from four to 16 years of age.
Entries need to be submitted by 3 August, 2020, with the free to enter exhibition taking place at The Art Cohort’s Chelsea Road base from 11-15 August.
“The Art Cohort is a professional gallery and exhibition space exhibiting artists’ work and this is the first time we have flung open our doors and filled our walls and plinths with children’s artwork,” said Kat Dawe Schmeisser, Artspace Director at The Art Cohort.
“Through our children’s after school art clubs, Saturday drop in art sessions and school holiday art classes and clubs, we know what amazing artistic talent there is in the young people of Bath and I’m delighted we’re able to showcase it in a professional Artspace. We’re excited to see the entries submitted for exhibition here.”
The entries will be divided into three age categories – four to six years, seven to 11 years and 12 to 16 years. Entries are invited across a range of media, including sculptures and paintings.
The organisers of the exhibition will be awarding discretionary distinctions in each category for particularly interesting or exceptional work.
