Aimed at helping find the funny streak in all of us, Komedia in Bath is offering a free four-part comedy course that uses a range of games, exercises and comedy techniques from the world of stand-up to help kids create their own jokes, hone their delivery skills, build confidence – and most importantly – have a lot of fun along the way!

The masterclass will be hosted by Jarred Christmas who has been a professional stand-up comedian for over 20 years and has performed all over the world at comedy festivals and in all manner of venues, from the Sydney Opera House to a military base on the Falkland Islands.

He’s popped up on TV, done panto with Hollywood stars and performed in torrential rain at the Glastonbury festival.  He tours with his kids show The Mighty Kids Beatbox Comedy Show and has guested on CBBC’s The Dog Ate My Homework.

“There is a spark of funny in everyone,” said Jarred. “You can learn things to enhance the funny that you have; you can learn to deliver a joke; you can learn to spot and be aware of amusing things and then to highlight them; and you can learn to let go, be a bit silly and gain confidence.

“My aim with this short course is to help you harness the funny you have and importantly I wanted to create something that parents and kids could work together on.”

The masterclass will be released online on Friday 2 July at 5pm and tickets are available now at: https://komedia.co.uk/bath/comedy/free-online-kids-comedy-masterclass/
