Year 5 pupils at Saltford Primary School were recently joined by a professional graffiti artist who ran an exciting workshop for the children to learn more about the positives of graffiti and to show their artistic talents.
Graffarty is run by Steven Fitzpatrick, a professional graffiti artist based in Bristol, who has have been painting graffiti since the late 1980’s. The workshop followed on from a Year 5 English project around graffiti and gave each of the pupils the chance to try their hand at using spray paint to create their own name and then stencils to create some original artwork.
“All of the children produced brilliant work which they’ll be able to take home to remember the experience by,” commented Mr Bowkett, who along with Mr Boyle, organised the experience. “Thank you too to Steve from Graffarty for a wonderful couple of days.”
