Mavis Sparkle, a life-affirming production recommended for everyone over the age of four and anyone who ever had a dream, visits Bath’s Egg Theatre during the half term holiday with six performances appearing from Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 October.

Over the past eighteen months we’ve learnt how important key workers are and Mavis Sparkle is no exception. A cleaner with an extraordinary story to tell, Mavis is on a journey north to see nature’s biggest light show with her own eyes.

With a cleaning trolley full of surprises and a little help from Spike the hedgehog, Mavis moves ever closer to making her dream come true. Featuring a heart-warming mix of illusion, animation and captivating performance, this delightful production inspires us all to be brave, dust away doubts and reach for the stars!

The role of Mavis Sparkle is played by Katherine Vernez Gray. Mavis Sparkle is written by Gilly Baskeyfield and Dot Wood. The show is directed by Gilly Baskeyfield, artistic director of M6 Theatre Company, with design by Joss Matzen and music composed by Tayo Akinbode.

Founded in 1977 and based in Rochdale, M6 Theatre Company is acknowledged as one of Britain’s leading theatre companies specialising in creating dynamic and relevant work for, with and by children and young people. M6’s highly acclaimed productions tour nationally and internationally to theatre venues and festivals, and locally to schools and community settings.
