News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Fifteen students from Stagecoach Performing Arts Bath were among a group of young performers who danced this summer at Disneyland Paris. Along with students from 18 other Stagecoach schools from across the country, the 8-16 year olds took part in a singing workshop, which saw them performing outside Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, as well as presenting their own 15 minute stage show on the Videopolis stage and dancing in the pre-parade.

“We were thrilled to be taking our students to Disneyland Paris,” said Stagecoach Bath Principal Sandra Mayo. “This is an amazing opportunity for them to perform in one of the most magical places in the world. Our aim is to provide our students with Creative Courage for Life – and Dance the Dream at Disneyland Paris does just that!”

“It’s also wonderful that they can share the experience with their families.”

For the students taking part it was the experience of a lifetime, with comments from the group including,

“I have loved every second of my time at Disney. I can’t believe I got to perform outside Sleeping Beauty’s Castle!”

“This is my third time coming to Disney with Stagecoach, I’m definitely coming back next time!”

“It was the best weekend ever!”

And the great news is that Sandra has confirmed that the theatre school is planning to return to Disneyland Paris in 2024, allowing a new group of students to experience the excitement of the occasion!

Stagecoach Bath aims to build a young person’s creativity, courage and skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
