News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

University of Bath students have raised an amazing £400 to fund free meals for children attending First Steps Bath nurseries. As part of their studies, students studying an MSc in Management had the option to be linked directly with charities in Bath and deliver a project that would be of benefit to them.

As a result, the students set up a stall in the centre of Bath and sold drinks and snacks. Just over £400 was raised which was used to help the Free Meals Project managed by First Steps to pay for meals for children from low income families.

“Thank you so much to every student who took part,” said Roz Lambert from First Steps. “The money raised will provide 154 free two course nutritionally balanced lunches for children.”
