Students and staff from Three Ways School in Odd Down, Bath are set to appear Something Special on CBeebies, with their programme going out on 20 Feb.
This isn’t the first time Mr Tumble and the Something Special team has worked with students from Three Ways School, having visited the school to film an episode a few years ago. Students, staff and parents were really excited to be invited to work with the BBC Team again to film a new episode of the wonderfully inclusive children’s programme.
Two of the school’s pupils, Milo and Tianna, will be on screen and enjoyed a day filming with the crew in Bristol. Miss Warburton and Miss Bailey accompanied the pupils, and enjoyed supporting the filming opportunities for the day.
Miss Warburton, who leads the music curriculum at Three Ways School, said, “It was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the musical skills our pupils have developed. We were all so excited to meet Mr Tumble and the crew again, and had a wonderful day making the episode. We can’t wait to show the rest of the school!”
Mr Tumble is sometimes used by families at Three Ways to reinforce the use of Makaton signing and help with communication. Makaton signing and symbols are used in Something Special and helps to develop language skills and communication for all our young people.
