Last year, Grae, a talented art student in Year 12 at St Gregory’s School, impressed judges with the winning entry in the prestigious Bath and District Commonwealth Art competition. The captivating piece, centred around the theme of Hope and Humanity, showcased the power of inclusion and equality through a poignant portrait of Grae’s two friends.
As a result of winning the competition, St Gregory’s was awarded the opportunity to host its very own art show, set to take place this July at the 44AD Artspace in Bath.
The exhibition will display a carefully curated selection of this year’s artwork from the immensely talented Year 11 and Year 13 Fine Art and Photography students. The St Gregory’s Art Show at 44AD Gallery promises to be a celebration of creativity, showcasing the remarkable achievements of these budding young artists.
The opening night, on Tuesday 4 July from 6-8pm, will be followed by a four-day exhibition running from 5-8 July, from 2-6pm each day. Open viewings are available to the local community throughout the week with the chance to see first-hand the dedication, skill and passion that St Gregory’s students pour into their artwork.
“We extend a warm invitation to all art enthusiasts and supporters to join us at the St Gregory’s Art Show,” said Joanna Bowden, Head of Art at St Gregory’s. “Our talented students have poured their hearts and souls into their work and this exhibition is a testament to their dedication and remarkable talent. By joining us, you are not only celebrating their achievements but also contributing to the recognition and growth of art in our local community.”
The St Gregory’s Art Show at 44AD Gallery will open on Tuesday 4 July from 6-8pm with public viewings available 2-6pm from Wednesday 5 July to Saturday 8 July.
