Tiny Minds classes have come to Wiltshire, aimed at supporting babies and toddlers aged from two months to four years in their development and helping them to engage, interact and develop that bond between a parent and child.
Tiny Minds is the brain child of former teacher Claire Rigby who decided to follow her passion for teaching and watching tiny minds flourish and grow. Claire has a specialism in early years education and has taught across the primary phase. She has also been a special education needs lead and enjoys nurturing the tiny minds of the future.
“Connecting with your little one is one of the best feelings there is,” said Claire. “Tiny Minds classes offer a quiet space to engage, interact and develop that bond between a parent and child. Each week, classes will be structured to allow your little one to explore their senses and listen to your voice. It will be a time to connect with other parents, whether this is your first bundle of joy, second or even your third!”
Claire explained that the Tiny Minds classes are designed to engage tiny minds. Little ones will take part in a short group activity followed by free-flow play set up to develop self-awareness, self-esteem, self- confidence, improve social skills, independence and creativity. Each session is created to develop gross and fine motor skills, promote cooperation and turn taking, and ensure little ones will learn through free-flow and structured play.
As a trained early years practitioner, Claire will be there to support every child through their play. She has carefully selected venues so that they are close to local parks, amenities and, most importantly, coffee shops! As a mother of one, she always enjoyed baby classes and then talking to other parents over a coffee afterwards, making it a lovely morning out!
Tiny Minds runs two classes, a Baby and Toddler class aimed at 2-12 months, and a Toddler Class aimed at 2-4 years old. Classes run at The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham on a Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:15 for toddlers and 10:40-11:25 for baby classes, and at Selwyn Hall in Box on a Monday morning 9:30-10:15 for toddler classes and 10:40-11:25 for baby classes.
Classes will also be available at Batheaston New Village Hall from November 2023.
A series of Tiny Minds taster sessions sold out in short time. However, there are a very few spaces still available for a baby taster session on 23 August at Selwyn Hall in Box from 9.30-10.15am
