Bath Mind is inviting schools, families and communities to Wear It Blue for World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

Bath Mind aims to raise £2,000 through this campaign to continue supporting individuals and families in the community. Every donation helps! You can organise school fundraisers, bake sales or simply make a donation. A suggested contribution for Wear It Blue is £1 per person.

“This World Mental Health Day we are inviting local schools to show their support for mental health awareness by participating in our ‘Wear It Blue’ campaign,” said Becki Fox, Fundraising Manager at Bath Mind. “With just a £1 donation, students can help raise vital funds for mental health services.

“Mental health is a pressing issue among young people with one in five children likely to experience a mental health issue*. That’s equivalent to six students in a typical classroom of 30.

“By taking part, you’ll be directly supporting Bath Mind’s mental health services in BaNES, including our Safe Space peer support group for young people, Open Space project promoting wellbeing through schools and home learners, and our youth mental health training programs.

“We encourage you to sign up and wear blue on Thursday 10th October to show your support for mental health. Visit our website for information on how to take part or email email hidden; JavaScript is required.”
