News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Mendip Activity Centre is planning ahead with exciting family fun for Halloween plus a wonderful looking skiing open weekend.

It’s the season for spooky adventures!

Mendip Activity Centre will be once again hosting Halloween adventures this autumn.

From 4 October to 3 November, Mendip will be dressed up for Halloween with themed-activity zones and a Zombie Outbreak Response Team.  For goblins aged 4 to 12, the toboggan slope has transformed into a magical realm full of spooky lights, decorations and music, plus all visitors will be encouraged everyone to wear their eeriest outfits.

Anyone aged 8 and over is invited to join Mendip Activity Centre’s Zombie Outbreak Response Team, a group of talented adventurers who test their skills in Archery, Air Rifles and Axe Throwing. For team events and parties, the ArcheryActive arena is a hive of supernatural activity ready for your group to take over and test your skills. Group bookings start at £125. Brand new this year, we’re introducing Hangar 51, an indoor arena for Nerf Battles.

For beginners eager to try something new, Mendip is hosting a Ski Open Weekend from 18th October to 20th October, with taster ski lessons available for just £16, that’s a £20 discount on the normal price of £36.

“It’s possible to make time for adventure year-round at Mendip Activity Centre with our great range of family activities and events,” said David Eddins, Managing Director at Mendip Activity Centre. “Join us for fun spooky Halloween Adventures and make use of our unique Ski, Snowboard and Toboggan slope- the only one in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset region!”

Surrounded by ancient woodland and with a ground sprinkler system, Mendip’s Snowsport Centre is one of the UK’s most interesting, uniquely situated in Somerset with Bristol, Bath & Weston-super-Mare nearby. Overlooked by an alpine-themed café bar, the Alpine Lounge, this is an adventurous experience that everyone can enjoy.
