Simone Root enjoys a stunning evening of Strictly Come Dancing legends at The Forum Bath
Oh my lord, what a stunning show, what a treat! We’ve just been to see Legends of the Dancefloor, which brings back together Strictly legends Brendan Cole, James Jordan, Pasha Kovalev, Vincent Simone and Ian Waite, and LOVED IT!
It’s fair to say that the place was buzzing in anticipation before the lights had even dimmed, with a packed audience keen to experience the joys of these fantastic performers. And we were not let down!
As soon as they took to the stage, It felt like such a special moment to be able to watch these five amazing dancers that we all came to know so well over their many years on Strictly Come Dancing, so close up. It was a bit like going back in time and watching Strictly of old, especially with all the genuine and good humoured banter between these old friends as they reminisced about their experiences working on Strictly.
Throughout the dancing was fun, energetic, incredible and of such a high standard – it was clear to see how Strictly has become such a BBC success story. Throughout, the set created such atmospheric and evocative backdrops to the captivating choreography. Each step and turn was loved by an appreciative audience, and shown with generous and well-earned applause.
For me, the highlights were Brendan’s emotionally charged rumba set to Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down and Vincent Simone’s sublime Argentine Tango. Across the show, however, it was absolute joy to see dancing at such a high standard.
Yes, we loved it – and more. Come back again soon guys, please!
