Bath Popstar Parties is now offering people of all ages the chance to experience the fun and excitement of a real recording studio and making their own music!
“We launched Stage 2 Studios back in 2009 with the plan to specialise in music production for aspiring artists and bands,” recalls owner and manager Daniel Flitcroft. “We launched the Bath Popstar Parties package in around 2012 to enable people of all ages and abilities to get to experience working in a fully professional studio environment, and feel what it is like to be a real pop star for the day.
“The best fun for us is when the studio is taken over for children’s parties as we can see what such a unique experience and can do, and the wonders that it delivers for their self confidence and creativity of those taking part.”
Daniel explained that the parties last for two hours and are ideal for children aged eight years and over. “Each child is treated like a popstar from the moment they arrive, with a glass of child-friendly bubbly upon arrival, as well as complimentary snacks and refreshments in our studio lounge,” he explained.
“The children get to pick a popular song that they’d like to record and every child will be given ample opportunity to work with our studio engineer and record their vocals. The engineer records all of the vocal takes and edits and mixes those in to a single song that includes everyone, which they get to hear at the end of the session and take home both digitally and on CD.
“An exclusive Karaoke and Disco room is provided throughout and we find that the children are generally so engrossed in the experience that the parents are very grateful to relax and unwind in our studio lounge and leave us to it!”
The Stage 2 Studio has enjoyed many successes over the years, with hundreds of commercially available albums and singles recorded here. 2024 saw its very first Top 40 album, with a project recorded last Summer hitting number 24 in the charts in November!
