Calling all dads, grandads, uncles and male carers! The Weston Men’s Cafe is holding its first ever quiz night on 20 January and you’re all invited.
The Weston Men’s Cafe was set up last year as a monthly hang out for men to get to know each other and share life. “It’s a chance for men to get together and socialise in an easy going, stress free situation, and get to know a few new friends along the way,” said founder Clive Bennett.
“We know that life is changing and people are becoming much more isolated isn’t good for our mental health. So this is just a local place for guys to get to know each other, have a laugh, share ideas or just chat, and find people you’ve got things in common with.
“The cafes are taking place once a month on Monday’s at the Weston Hub in Bath, and as well as hot drinks, there’s table tennis, darts, cards and stuff like that, with a few other activities planned for later in the year.”
For quiz night on 20 January, all local men are invited to take part. There’s no fee and it’s a bring your own bottle evening. You can either bring along your own team of up to six, or join a team on the night. There will be prizes and a chance to meet new people, have a laugh and enjoy some downtime.
