The children at Little Willows Day Nursery Corsham recently enjoyed a visit from PC Timothy Montague as part of their theme of ‘people who help us’.
“Part of our activities with the children is emphasising the importance of emergency services and what they do to help us,” explained nursery deputy manager Lauren. “All the children, from 16 months to four years old, attended this visit to create a positive perception with the emergency services.
“The children got to try on the police uniform and look at all of the equipment that PC Montague carries in his police van. They also had a chance to see this speciality unit’s drones in action, with PC Montague at the controls and able to take pictures of the nursery from quite a height.
“Having PC Montague come to visit us builds a positive impact on the children’s perception of the police and our relationship with the wider community.”
