Organisers of the annual Newbridge Arts Trail are excited to announce that the much loved community trail will be going ahead again this year. Local artists and volunteers recently met to set the wheels in motion and it is now confirmed the event is set to be on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2025.
This will be the 15th year of the wonderful arts event and proves to be a real creative treat for local people as well as a brilliant way to support the artisan community.
The organisers are now calling for both established and emerging artists to apply to exhibit, with the deadline for submissions being 1 March 2025. The trail is a great way to showcase work to a wide audience in an informal setting, as well as meet other artists.
Anyone who would like to get involved is asked to get in touch via https://www.newbridgeartstrail.org/
At the event a wide range of artists will exhibit their work in public venues and homes across Newbridge. The exact venues are still to be confirmed, but visitors will be provided with maps making it an enjoyable way to discover artists working in the area.
The trail offers a free and easy way to learn about different styles of art and talk with artists about their techniques and influences, with some artists offering demonstrations so you can learn more about their process. It promises a wide range of different styles of work and hosts a variety of mediums from painting and ceramics to printmaking and jewellery.
The public are invited to visit, whether it is just to enjoy looking at the art, or if looking to buy a unique piece of art. There will be a lot on offer, much of it at very affordable prices. A range of cards and small gifts will also be available.
Entry for visitors is free of charge and the venues will be open between 10.30am and 5pm across both days of the weekend. Organisers will update the website, Facebook and Instagram for more information as the event gets closer. Watch this space!
