After a successful year last year, Bowerhill Buddies PTA Scarecrow Trail returns on Saturday 3 May 2025. This year’s theme is Roald Dahl verses David Walliams, with more than 25 houses are taking part.
The event will run from 10am on Saturday 3 May until Monday 5 May at 6pm, giving participants the chance to tackle the scarecrow trail in one day, or pop back and complete it on the Sunday or Monday.
Trail maps are £5 per family (this includes a pencil). Sheets will be on sale at Bowerhill Primary School Office, from Tuesday 22 April, and then on Saturday 3 May until Monday 5 May from 10am-4pm, outside the main entrance to Bowerhill Primary School.
All completed entries need to be posted through the letter box of Bowerhill Primary School by midday on Tuesday 6 May 2025, for a chance to be in to win some great prizes.
Bowerhill School PTA Chair, Lisa Fudgell, said, “Last year’s scarecrow trail was a fantastic success. We raised approximately £840 from the event. The support from the local community taking part, as well as the residents who support us with displaying a scarecrow, shows true community spirit. The money raised has gone towards our ongoing PlayPod Project.
“So bring your family and friends with you to this year’s event, for some fresh air and get guessing if the scarecrow is a well-loved Walliams or Dahl story.”
