Schools invited to ‘Go Bright for Mind’ to support youth mental health

Bath Mind

Schools across Bath and North East Somerset are being invited to take part in Go Bright for Mind, a brand-new campaign by local Mind charity, Bath Mind, to raise awareness and funds for youth mental health.

The initiative encourages students and staff to hold colourful fundraising events that spark important conversations about mental health while supporting vital local services.

With Mind’s ‘Big Mental Health Report’* showing that 1 in 5 children and young people in England now have a mental health problem, Go Bright for Mind offers a fun and engaging way for schools to show their support. From bright bake sales to dress-in-colour days, art competitions and vibrant hallway makeovers, there are numerous ways to take part.

Every event will help raise vital funds for Bath Mind, ensuring that no young person in our community has to face a mental health problem alone.

“Go Bright for Mind is about bringing schools across Bath and North East Somerset together to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel able to talk about mental health,” said Bath Mind. “By getting involved, schools will show young people that their mental health is a priority, whilst raising crucial funds for their local mental health charity.”

Schools can choose any date to take part, but key awareness days provide great opportunities to link events to a wider movement. Mental Health Awareness Week is 12th – 18th May – a great opportunity to shine a light on mental health and raise vital funds for Bath Mind.

Schools that sign up will receive fundraising materials, planning support, and promotional resources to help make their events a success. Any school in Bath and North East Somerset can take part at a time that works best for them.
