One of Wiltshire’s most highly anticipated summer celebrations, the Marden Village Fete, has announced the date for this year. It is set to take place on Saturday, 7 June 2025, with this year marking a special milestone with the fete’s 75th anniversary.
Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Marden Manor and quintessentially English village of Marden, the annual fete promises a day brimming with community spirit, local talent and culture. The Marden Village Fete is a beloved tradition and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever for a fantastic traditional family day out.
“We’re thrilled to announce the date of the Village Fete which this year marks its 75th year,” said Fete Chairman, Charlie Miller. “This event is not only a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate our unique culture and heritage, but it also supports some worthy local charities.
“We warmly welcome everyone to Marden for a day of fun and festivity.”
The event offers an array of attractions for all ages including, a classic car display featuring members of the Aston Martin Owners Club, music from the lively Kennet Vale Brass Band and laughter courtesy of children’s entertainer Mad Pete.
Activities will include pony rides, Smiley Cats face painting, plus a variety of games for all ages, including a coconut shy, skittles, tennis and golf with a difference, hoopla and tombola.
A wide selection of food and drink options will be available for attendees, including a Pimms tent, a BBQ, a traditional tea tent and cakes stall. Other offerings include plants and local produce stalls, as well as an extensive array of bric-a-brac and books.
