Whether you’re after a night of amazing theatre, live music, or a fun workshop, there’s plenty for everyone in the autumn brochure. It’s all about bringing people together, sparking creativity and having a good time.
Family

Ready for some unforgettable family moments? Rock the Tots and Playtime are back to get little ones dancing and singing along. We’ve also got Wonder Gigs for growing music lovers, and theatrical adventures like Princess Pirate, A Winter’s Tail, and Under the Frozen Moon — packed with puppets, music, and breath-taking sets. Whether it’s your first show or your fiftieth, there’s magic waiting for everyone!
Music

This season’s music line-up is packed with soul-stirring sounds and standout talent. From the haunting beauty of Cara Dillon and the lyrical storytelling of John Smith to the powerful songwriting of Nerina Pallot and Kris Drever, there’s something for every listener. We’re welcoming back favourites like Chris While & Julie Matthews, Johnny Coppin, and GreenMatthews, while The Little Unsaid, The Band of Pilgrims, and Craig Mitchell’s Jukebox Mashup bring fresh energy to the stage.
Comedy

Laughter is firmly on the agenda this season, with a brilliant mix of stand-up talent taking to the stage. Nick Helm brings his trademark chaos and charm, while Ria Lina delivers razor-sharp wit and fearless comedy. This season’s Avalon Comedy Network will be headlined by Stuart Goldsmith, alongside newcomers, Bella Hull, Katie Norris, and Ben Treloar. Come for the belly laughs, stay for the unexpected gems!
Talks and spoken word

Get ready for an inspiring and thought-provoking season of talks and spoken word. Janet Street-Porter is well and truly Off the Leash, while local actor Glyn Dilley shares stories and characters from his career in Hearing Voices. Henry Normal brings laughter and heart in The Slide Show. For true crime fans, don’t miss An Evening with Jack the Ripper hosted by Steve Morgan. Expect big personalities, captivating stories, and plenty to talk about on the way home.
Theatre and Dance

We’re turning up the drama this season with a line-up that’s bold, brilliant, and full of surprises. 24K Magic brings high-energy performance with a dazzling twist, while TATTOO offers a powerful exploration of identity and connection. Tangle Theatre presents a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, and Living Spit are back with Too Many Greek Myths. We have a special treat from dance company, Vanhulle with their new show Olive Branch, blending dance, physical theatre and martial arts.
Films

In The Pound cinema, we’ll be screening a great selection of films including The Last Showgirl, Blue Road: The Edna O’Brien Story, and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. The Arts On Screen

There’s no shortage of drama and inspiration on screen this season. Catch compelling National Theatre Live performances, Inter Alia, the powerful Mrs Warren’s Profession, and the moving new play The Fifth Step.
