Families across Bath and Wiltshire are being invited to enjoy a day of cycling, challenges, and fun activities at the famous Castle Combe Race Circuit in support of the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.
Taking place from 11am–4pm on Sunday 5 October 2025, the Family Cycle Day promises a unique opportunity to ride the smooth, traffic-free track with your children, friends, and loved ones – whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just learning to pedal – all while helping raise awareness and support for this vital local charity.
The event is designed to be inclusive, with riders of all ages and abilities welcome. Families can complete as many laps of the circuit as they wish, collecting stamps on their Cycling Challenge Card as they go. Each stamp earns points, and points mean prizes – the perfect incentive to keep little legs going!
And there’s more than just cycling on offer. Families can look forward to a wide range of activities throughout the day, including:

For those seeking a bigger challenge, the day also features the Castle Combe Sportive, starting at 8am. Riders can choose between a 20-mile route or a 63-mile route through the beautiful Wiltshire and Bath countryside before finishing back at the race circuit to join their families for the rest of the fun.
Excitingly, the 63-mile route will now include sections through Bath, reflecting the Air Ambulance’s expanded role following its rebrand to Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.

Entry fees cover the costs of running the event, while riders are encouraged to fundraise separately in support of the vital work of the Air Ambulance.
